Northwest Regional Conference July 30 - August 8, 2010
Anchorage, Alaska

The Northwest Regional Conference will be held from Aug 3 thru 8 on the campus of the University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA). During that period there will be eleven sanctioned Volkssports events including a 300-meter swim, two 28-46 km bike rides, seven 5-6 km walks, and eight 10-12 km walks.

The Conference fee is $300 per person and includes admissions to all venues, bus transportation both within Anchorage and to the outlying areas we will be visiting, two special banquet meals, custom-designed conference T-shirt, choice of hat or visor, and an embroidered patch, plus miscellaneous printing and supplies. Reservations will be mailed direct to the host Anchorage Volkssports Club.  For full details send an e-mail request to Conference Chairman Mike Devitt ( jmdevitt@alaska.com ). Housing and Meals

Housing will be in the residence suites of North Hall on campus and several meals will be served at the conference headquarters at UAA Commons. Housing will be $224 per person for 5 nights and meals on campus will be $111 for the “Meet ‘n’ Greet Social”, five breakfasts, two box lunches, and two dinners. These are all-you-care-to-eat meals. Pre-Conference Denali Tour

For those wishing to add a pre-conference rail trip to Denali National Park and Preserve for July 30-Aug 2, reservations will be made through Alaska Visitors Center ( avc@alaska.net  Re: AVA2010). Single occupancy fare is $1657 per person; double occupancy is $1186 per person.
